It's a little belated but I just wanted to give some feedback for my recent order, and to thank you for a great offering and service.  

My family have a fun little game we're playing where we are trying to make a new dish and/or new ingredients from every country in the world, and when we landed on Australia it has been the most challenging country so far.  

So many dishes and so many ingredients we have already tried, so we were feeling a little hopeless until I saw a post thanking you guys. We live regional Vic so I was so excited to find your store, and even more so that you could ship to our door! 

The wallaby we served as a simple entrée, with a davidson plum glaze and dipping sauce. Tasted lovely, and the smoothness of the meat was really surprising (that's the only way I can describe it!). 

The possum I decided to treat a little like rabbit, by doing a short brine and then a long braise with a few different native Australian herbs. It was served with a Macadamia puree, baby spinach in place of Warrigal greens (I couldn't get my hands on any unfortunately), and a macadamia gremolata to add a bit of crunch.  

Everything was delicious and that is in no small way thanks to you guys! Even our youngest child who can be fussy at times scoffed everything, and even brought the leftover possum to school the next day! 

The goat I used for our 'trip' to Montserrat in the Caribbean, and went into their national dish (with a rather unfortunate name) goat water. It too was tender and delicious! 

Thank you so much for your offerings and your fantastic service. And while no one yet that I've recommended you to has been very receptive to the idea of eating possum (haha), I'll still be singing your praises to everyone I can. Amanda, Victoria, February 2026

 

Eight years ago I was diagnosed with an auto immune and I was told not to eat saturated fats. So goodbye red meat, duck & cheese. It was either that or end up permanently in a wheelchair. Kangaroo was in because it is low in saturated fat. I didn't mind kangaroo so I thought that I would order your wallaby (Hubby loves his Wuggs, they were not for me). I was overjoyed to have the wallaby mince. You said it would be milder than the kangaroo and it was!  I almost cried to have spaghetti bolognaise again with your wallaby mince! It was delicious and almost the same as beef. It was almost like the angels were singing!!!  My 7 year old niece who has severe eating issues and a limited food range even could not tell it was not normal mince and that sealed it for me.  I can't wait to get my order to have it again.  The meat looked good, well packed, cool (it was 38 degrees on the day they arrived) and it was about 2 hours at our front door before being bought inside and it was all perfect.  My husband slow roasted the fillet with some fresh herbs and we at that on a grazing board. I recently made a purchase of wallaby and possum meats from Tassy to Brissy The meat is top notch.. lean, no fat just what you want in a quality purchase. It arrived well packaged, vacuum sealed and still in its frozen state given its long trek across the country. The purchase was seamless, the correspondence warm and friendly. Packaging was very good. All arrived in clean, perfect condition and within the advised time frame. The product is excellent and was at a suitable temperature - ie, appropriately chilled. (I’m talking as someone with many years experience in cold storage warehousing and transport).  I’m grateful Lenah has opted to provide a direct from producer purchase and delivery service. We did the wallaby patties from your website. We used beetroot instead of zucchini. They were amazing!  We will do them again when this new order arrives.  We had slow cooked possum stew tonight. We had the wallaby roast on the weekend and it was absolutely amazing! We even converted a non-game meat eater!  We used the recipe on your website - low and slow (100 degrees for 6 hours). Meat was so tender and the marinade made a fabulous gravy.  As someone who only eats Australian game meat and fish for ethical and environmental reasons, Lenah is a clear standout and game changer.
